Amy’s practice has included employment law, civil litigation, municipal law and family law. She brings her experience in multiple state and federal courts to RCO Law, where she currently focuses on labor and employment law and civil litigation. Amy’s labor and employment work includes revising employee handbooks, analyzing structural changes in a business, conducting internal audits and investigations, serving as outside counsel or legal support to human resource departments, advising clients regarding wage, hour and benefits questions, and defending employers against EEOC or state entity claims, negotiating severance agreements, and assisting clients through the discovery process and trial. Amy also has experience with and a passion for defending municipalities, schools, and their employees against claims of constitutional rights violations.
Amy enjoys getting to know clients and exploring their legal options to provide individualized feedback. Part of this feedback includes giving clients practical advice and providing ways to implement this advice so that employers can efficiently and effectively run their businesses. Her litigation background has allowed her to advocate on behalf of many types of clients, but she thrives on finding the right solution for each individual client’s challenges.

I recently moved here with my husband and two young children. Born and raised in Iowa, and having lived and practiced law for 10 years in Kansas City, I’m enjoying exploring Northwest Ohio with my family. I’m competitive, love good Mexican food, and enjoy cheering on my favorite football teams (Iowa Hawkeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers).
