Thomas M. George

Over the course of a 47-year career, Tom has practiced in the areas of commercial transactional matters, corporate governance, and health care transactional work, contracting and compliance matters. He brings finesse, common sense, and creative problem-solving abilities to his transactional work.

Throughout his career in Corporate and Commercial Law, Tom has advised shareholders, directors, partners, and owners in corporate and entity governance; business succession planning issues and commercial transactions, especially relating to supply-chain matters.

Grounded by a keen understanding of the complexities of health care business structures, Tom represents physicians, nurses and health care providers and facilities on matters including establishing medical practices, governance, succession planning, hospital and physician relations, and regulatory compliance.

In his Of Counsel role, Tom continues to maintain key client relationships offering advice, counsel, and transition guidance. Tom’s matter-of-fact style and analytical abilities contribute to the vitality of the Firm’s Health Care and Business Practice Groups.

• Tom advises shareholders, directors, partners, and owners in corporate and entity governance, business succession and planning issues and commercial transactions, especially with respect to supply-chain matters. His primary client responsibilities include an international packaging corporation and other diversified service providers and manufacturers in a wide range of industries. He also facilitates resolution of shareholder and partner disputes.

Healthcare

• Tom represents physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on a wide range of issues including practice establishment and governance, succession planning, hospital-physician relations, and regulatory matters.
