C. Philip Baither, III is a partner with RCO and has extensive experience in the areas of labor and employment law, healthcare, commercial litigation and real estate.
Phil earned his Juris Doctor degree (with honors) from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1980. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1975. He is licensed to practice in both Michigan and Ohio.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
Labor and Employment Law.
Phil has broad experience representing employers in all aspects of employment and labor law. Phil has represented employers before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, Department of Labor, labor arbitrations, and state and federal courts. He is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law.
Healthcare. Phil represents and advises hospitals, physicians, and insurance companies in the areas of medical staff privileges, anti-fraud statutes, health insurance coverage and interpretation, provider contracting, employment matters, HCQIA, antitrust and other general healthcare issues.
Commercial
Litigation. Phil has represented clients in a wide range of commercial and transactional litigation.
Real Estate. Phil focuses on riparian (water) law as it pertains to properties on or near lakes and rivers.
