E. THOMAS MAGUIRE, OF COUNSEL

E. Thomas Maguire, has been practicing law for over 37 years
concentrating in the medical malpractice area. He was born in Boston,
Massachusetts in 1937 and is a graduate of Dartmouth College (AB, cum
laude, 1958), attended Stanford University (1958-1959) and The Ohio
State University College of Law (JD, 1963). He represents many area
hospitals and physicians with particular emphasis on birth-related
injuries and diseases. He also represents area railroads in Federal
Employers' Liability Act cases and grade crossing accidents.
Additionally, he is a five-state consultant for a major healthcare
company and regional consultant for a large healthcare consortium
defending brain-damaged baby cases. He successfully defended the
landmark hospital liability case of Albain v. Flower Hospital, 50 Ohio
St 3d 351.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a
member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel
(Executive Committee 1990-1996).
