Michael P. Margelefsky is of counsel with Robison, Curphey & O’Connell and has extensive experience practicing workers’ compensation law. He represents large self-insured employers, small state-funded employers, and public and private employers in any and all workers’ compensation issues from initial determination of whether a claim is compensable, to if appropriate, claim resolution and settlement. The experiences garnered over the span of his career have covered all aspects of the Administrative process.
Michael grew up in western New York and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he graduated cum laude. He relocated to Toledo in 1974 to attend law school at the University of Toledo. While a student, he was a legal intern with the County Auditors Office.

Michael has extensive experience practicing workers’ compensation law. He represents large self-insured employers, small state-funded employers, and public and private employers in any and all workers’ compensation issues. He has represented the interests of both state fund and self-insured employers and regularly attends hearings in Toledo, Lima, Mansfield and Columbus before The Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC) at the District Hearing Officer (DHO) and Staff Hearing Officer (SHO) levels. Michael has defended employers against claims alleging violations of a specific safety requirement (VSSR), contests concerning initial allowance of claims, disputed periods of temporary total disability compensation (TTD), voluntary abandonment issues, working wage loss (WWL), permanent total disability claims (PTD), handicap reimbursement hearings and appeals (CHP-4), and amputation and loss of use claims.
