        Vince Mezinko was born and raised in the Toledo area. Vince attended St. Frances de Sales High School and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Toledo graduating magna cum laude. Vince went to University of Toledo Law School attending night classes, working as a law clerk in Toledo Municipal Court during the day. Vince graduated with his law degree in 1984 and began practicing with a local law firm, representing injured workers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the local Common Pleas Courts. Vince currently represents employers, both large and small, with their workers' compensation and employment related problems.

        Vince is licensed in the States of Ohio and Michigan and belongs to both the Ohio and Michigan Bar Association. He is also a member of the Toledo Bar Association, and has served as chairman and secretary of Workers' Compensation Committee. Vince has earned designation as a Workers' Compensation Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association. In addition to defending employers' interests in workers' compensation matters, Vince also acts as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau and the National Association of Securities Dealers.

PRACTICE DETAILS

        Workers' Compensation. Vince has extensive experience practicing workers’ compensation law He represents large self-insured employers, small state-funded employers, and public and private employers in any and all workers’ compensation matters. He has represented the interests of employers before the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), the Ohio Industrial Commission (IC) and at all levels of court, including the Ohio Supreme Court. Vince has also defended employers against claims alleging violations of a specific safety requirements (VSSR) and assists them with disputes before the Bureau of Workers' Compensation over premiums assessed and the classification of employees for purposes of premium allocation.
