PRACTICE DETAILS

        Lisa counsels employers regarding all issues dealing with the employer/employee relationship. These issues range from proactive planning, litigation prevention, and resolving employer compliance issues associated with judicial, legislative and administrative mandates. Lisa regularly advises employers with issues regarding hiring documentation and practices, termination documentation and practices, employee handbooks, independent contractor issues, wrongful discharge claims and management training regarding issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, and investigative techniques.

        Lisa's employment law practice also consists of representing employers faced with workers' compensation and unemployment compensation claims. On the labor side, Lisa regularly assists private and public sector employers in all aspects of their dealings with labor unions, including grievances, negotiations, elections, arbitrations, and administrative agency and court litigation.

        Lisa regularly represents and defends employers before various administrative agencies including the Department of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the State Employment Relations Board (SERB), the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC), the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), and the Ohio Industrial Commission.
