Julia Smith Wiley is a partner with RCO and has extensive trial experience in the defense of lawsuits involving serious injuries and death. She defends physicians, hospitals, nurses, physical therapy professionals, and long term care facilities in negligence and medical malpractice actions.
Julia earned her Juris Doctor degree (with honors) in 1984 from the Ohio State University College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree (with high honors) from the University of Dayton in 1981.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
Medical malpractice. Julia counsels health care providers in risk management, employment, and hospital/physician relation issues.
Litigation. Julia is lead trial counsel in numerous federal district court and common pleas court cases and is experienced in Appellate advocacy in both the State and Federal systems.
Product liability. Julia’s experience includes the defense of manufacturers and drug companies for product liability claims.
Insurance. Julia serves as regional counsel for several local and national insurance carriers.
