TRIAL AND APPELLATE LITIGATION

The scope of our trial and appellate litigation practice is as broad as our diverse range of clients. Our primary focus in pursuing litigation matters is obtaining the most favorable result for our clients, in the most efficient manner possible. Our attorneys regularly appear in state and federal trial courts, and administrative tribunals, in Ohio and Michigan. We pride ourselves on staffing matters with our clients’ best interest in mind, always being mindful of our goal to deliver the best possible client service. We understand that litigation disrupts our clients’ ability to do what they do best, so we seek early alternative resolution where appropriate. Our litigators frequently team with attorneys in one or more of the other practice groups to provide the in-depth expertise which certain matters require. We also regularly serve as local counsel for lawyers and law firms from outside the region, providing as much assistance as is required for the particular matter, and treating lead counsel with the same level of responsiveness that our clients have come to expect.

Our appellate practice consists primarily of protecting our clients’ interests in the state and federal courts of appeals, but we are also called upon to act as appellate counsel where other firms have been responsible at the trial court level. We have attorneys admitted to practice in all state appellate courts in Ohio and Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
