Kara is based in Michigan, working from offices in Tecumseh and Monroe. Kara focuses her practice on elder law and long-term care planning, estate and trust administration, and business matters. She holds a certificate in the area of Elder Law issued by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and is accredited by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs to represent veterans and their families.
Kara is a strong advocate for her clients and has a gift for understanding their special needs, especially older adults seeking guidance on health care matters including Medicaid and Medicare.
Kara has nearly 20 years of experience as an attorney, and before joining RCO she litigated in the areas of real property, family, consumer, immigration, and employment law. She began her legal career as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Michael F. Cavanagh of the Michigan Supreme Court.
A native of Lambertville, Michigan, Kara earned her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University (magna cum laude) and her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (cum laude).
