RCO Law is pleased to welcome Attorney Melissa Oostmeyer as a Partner with the firm. Melissa brings over 13 years of Fortune 500 in-house corporate counsel experience to the Firm’s Business and Commercial Practice Group, where she will work with companies of all sizes on complex business and corporate matters. Melissa returns to Northwest Ohio from Denver, Colorado, where she served as senior corporate counsel with a leading energy company.

Melissa is well-versed in handling a wide variety of business transactions that include mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sales agreements, franchising agreements, non-compete agreements, and real estate transactions. 

Melissa earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law; a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, MI. She also holds a Certificate of International Studies from KEC, Kyoto, Japan, which was offered through a Sister Cities Program between Kyoto and Lansing Community College.

Melissa is based in the Toledo office, and looks forward to serving RCO Law clients and developing her commercial practice.
