Five Responsible Protocols for Getting Ohio Back to Work

April 29, 2020

The Ohio Department of Health released five protocols for all businesses opening in May. On April 27, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced three dates for businesses to reopen in the state: May 1, May 4 and May 12. He also made strong recommendations for continuing safe health care protocols to control the spread of COVID-19. These guiding principles were based upon protecting the health of employees, customers and their families; supporting community efforts to control the spread of the virus; and responsible leadership in getting Ohio back to work.

The five protocols for all businesses include: required face coverings for employees; daily health assessments by employers and employees to determine if “fit for duty”; good hygiene with social distancing and hand washing; and clean and sanitize the workplace.
