RCO Law advises Phillips Acquisition on the purchase of several Student Housing Communities

We acted as legal counsel to and assisted a California-based, privately held real estate investment, development and management company structure an investment company specially designed to acquire, hold and manage 2 separate luxury student housing projects, located in Georgia and North Carolina with a combined acquisition cost in excess of $64 million. In addition to creating the investment holding company and subsidiary companies that will own, hold and manage each student housing project, we assisted our client in raising the necessary acquisition capital by preparing for circulation the private placement offering memorandum to raise equity investment capital for a portion of the acquisition cost and negotiated for customized commercial real estate financing for the balance through a national commercial real estate financing company, whom originates commercial real estate loans for a publically traded specialty financing Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).
